Embedded sound is evil

Dear dbForums,

Please remove sound from any and all pages. I put obnoxious advertisers on my ignore at every opportunity list, thus you are doing your customers a dis-service by enabling the startling noise they think is a feature.

I'm gonna go replace my Depends, now.

Thanks in advance,

Startled dbForums Participant.

nobody from dbforums will see this in this forum

i'm a moderator, may i move it to the Suggestions & Feedback forum for you?

no guarantee they'll see it there either, they've shown no response to anything from us for many months

Yes, please and thank you. Sad to hear they are indifferent - that is the ultimate insult.

well, it has its benefits

it's like there's this big house on the beach, and the owners are never home, so we can pretty much do what we want inside

luckily we have some good people moderating who don't allow any spam, pyramid schemes, religious spume, or other shenanigans, so it's still a pretty decent place to hang out in

I like your metaphor - I get the upstairs!

And you moderators do a darn good job, which I now realize is one of the reasons why I enjoy participating. Thanks for moderating.

With less than a hundred posts? You get the couch in the den, dude. And just hope we don't vote you off tomorrow!

Hey, I like his posts, and I guess there are many more to come! And you're too caustic at times, so I'll be on the beach gathering rocks to put in your bed for a comfy nite-nite after you get wasted with umbrella drinks

Wait a minute, I don't even get the couch anymore ?!?! Blast, I guess I'll just slink out back and bunk with Phydeaux.

We've always wanted to find something new and different to do with the attic... It's never been quite the same since Uncle Floyd went out the window on the toboggan!
