Alert Modifications request

Can we get someone to modify the alerts to NOT send email alert notifications to the last person to post in a thread ?

a bunch of the email, daily updates i get say
"The following threads have been updated:"

and when i go and click on the link.. i see that it was ME that was the last person to update it.

thats frustrating and a waste of time .

can we get this modified ?

i get this email and after following every link, i see that i am the last person to post anything. only send me a notification if someone ELSE has posted a response.

OR.....
at least list under "Last Post" date and time... teh name of the user also. i dont care about the thread starter, it would be helpful to know who was teh last person to post.....

Go to your options menu under Quick Links.
In the section marked "Messaging and Notification" you will see an option for "Default Thread Subscription Mode". Select the "No e-mail notification option".

while you may have read what i wrote.,.. you did not understand the statement.

its not that i dont want to receive notifications.
i dont want to receive them when I am the last person that made a comment and generated the notification. if someone responds to something AFTER i do, then send me a notice. but dont send me a notice if i am the one that wrote the last comment.

vBulletin by default will not send you any notification if you are the one to reply. It only sends notifications when you have not seen the board...however if 2 users replied, and you have not visited the board in between, it will only send one.

then its not working right.
if you go and look at those threads and look at the time stamps, i am the last one to post in the threads with no one else the same day when the notification went out. (when i received the notifications, i was the last one to post that day)

likewise, on the first thread listed, i am the only one to post a response and i still got the notification.

It's just the way that subscription works. But, I'll see if I can sort a fix for your concern.
