How do I 'bump' a thread?

I want to refresh my earlier thread. Pat suggested I 'bump' it, I'm not sure how to do that. Thanks!

He means to reply to it, by clicking the Post Reply button and stating something like, "Still looking," or whatever information you need to update.

it's gotta be something a bit more descriptive than "still looking"

none of these are very informative, either --

"any help?"
"please, anyone know?"
"bump"

if no one responded to your original post, there is usually one main reason -- you did not describe your problem accurately enough

adding "still looking" doesn't really help that scenario, does it

I want to move my original job posting thread from December back to the top. Pat suggested that rather than re-post the thread, I bump it. I'm not sure how to bump a thread. Thanks

if it were me, i'd post a new thread (i wouldn't want people to think we hadn't found anyone since december, as that would suggest that there's something wrong with the job)
