Exclamation Banner

i hate to be the one to complain but we cant use the forum search because that annoying 'big' banner is in the way and i'm not clicking on it. there is no way to search the forums because the search box appears underneath the baner so nobody can type anything in to search

what browser are you using? I've tried it with IE and Firefox, and the search text box is on top...

by any chance do you have any of the Accessibility Options checked on the control panel (the wheelchair icon) ???

I had enabled some of the high contrast font enhancements as a trial, and it caused some similar types of issues with the browsers.

Oh you know what, I actually have this very same problem, who knew!

Latest version of FireFox (2.0.0.13) with no out of the ordinary settings.

Just tested in IE7, again, nothing too out of the ordinary and the same problems!

And the answer is because the search box's z-index is 50, while the banner is 1151.

Can it be fixed now please *flutters eyelashes*

This issue appears to have been fixed. If anyone else experiences this again respond to this thread.

Cheers,
George
