There is far too much wasted space on top, here is my suggestion of how to get a more productive "header" for the forums.

First line:
Home, Profile, Logout, Calendar, Get New, Search, Page 1 of 475 1 2 3 > Last »

Second line:
New posts, Buddy List, Control Panel, Private Messages, Subscribed Threads, Who's Online

Then the section with:
Display Options Currently Active Users Moderators

Finally, not as a separate line, but replacing the text in the useless "Threads in Forum: Microsoft Access" red table title bar just above the postings:

Threads in Forum: dBforums > PC based Database Applications > Microsoft Access

Then:
Thread / Thread Starter
(etc., no more changes)
