Exclamation No matches for "backup"??? Give me a break.

What has changed behind the scenes regarding search capabilities after the recent site update? When I search for "backup" in the MS Access forum - which I KNOW normally gives several hits, I get none..!

Daniel.

there are no search hits for "display"

there are no search hits for "ODBC"

there are no search hits for "connect"

.......there are no hits for any search!

I have the same problem as well, if I search under my user name then nothing is retrieved. I also tried searching using the title of a last post I could see, again no results were returned..............................something is very wrong.

John

Searching hasn't worked for the past couple of days. Does anyone know how to contact the site admins?

I bet they are monitoring at least this forum closely, although they are strangely absent with comments/opinions/status. Must be working hard "on things". They probably have issues of more critical character/potential that does not work perfectly after the change, than what have appeared in this feedback, guess they have a dynamic priority list...

But it would be nice with a sense of "contact" though.

They may need to regenerate search index since it looks like they upgraded to a new version of vBulletin.

Tried to search ......

Tried to search for "table" in Oracle group after my real search gave no results.

"table" is not in any of the messages in the Oracle section according to search!

Is there anyone responsible for this site?
I am aware that this site is free and I should be happy I can access it but it would be much better if I could search for information as I expect most questions have been answered already.

Thanks anyway,
YakoBay

It would be nice if search worked within the forum, but for now I just use Google to search.
