Server cannot start

Hello

I have a sybase server which is on SCO- Openserver. I want to change its ip address. im changing its ip address and rebuilding the Kernel. On instaling new sybase server on the same machine and configure network device name its not accepted where as if i keep the same ip address and install a new server its accepted. I actually want to change the ip address of the network and want my sybase server to listen on this address. Tell me how can i do so.

Thank you.
