Upgrade from ASE 12.5.2. to ASE15

You might require to instal some EBF's from the downloads.sybase.com link

You can load a database dump from 12.5.x into any version of ASE 15 - that should be no problem, and the database will be upgraded on the fly when it is brought online.

I would suggest that you use ASE 15.0.2, with the latest EBF.

how can i upgrade from 12.5.2 to 15.0 ?
shall i install all the EBF from 12.5.2 onwards so that it will automatically upgrade to 15.0 or i have to install any upgraded version CD like 12.5.3 or 12.5.4 and onwards patches.
is it fine if i upgrade 15.0 directly as mentioned in PDF
also it is recommended to install first 12.5.4 before going to 15.0

pl clerify my queries.

Regards

I'm not sure to understand what you are trying to do.

In any case, AFAIK you don't have to upgrade to 12.5.4 before going to 15.0.x.

If you are upgrading "in place", install the 15.0.2 binary in a different directory, and follow the instructions to upgrade the server.

If you are creating a new server you can do the same thing - install 15.0.2 latest EBF in a new directory, create the new server, and then load the 12.5.x dumps into this new server.
