I have a Sybase SQL Anywhere 9.0 database (.db) file that has been provided to me by a customer. He wants me to access the database and build reports on it. But, he doesn't have a userid and password to access it. Is there a way it can be retrieved from the .db file through some hack/trick? I have already tried dba/sql.
Why doesn't the customer have the uid/pwd? If they can prove to Sybase iAnywhere technical support that they are the true owner of the database, the password can be reset. However, if the database is encrypted, you are out of luck.
