hi
i want to know is in the sybase when ever we start the services of sybase (i.e start-> services-> sybase sqlserver ) does it start recovering the whole database.

actually m facing problem is that i m creating the database of 100 GB but in the no recovery mode & when ever m restarting the sybase sqlserver i losses my whole data & tables.

& if m creating the 100 GB database in the full recovery mode then i dont losses the data & tables, but it takes hours to restart the sybase sqlserver . it seems that every time m restarting the sybase sqlserver it do the recovery of database.

how can i restart the services fastly without lossing the database.
