ASE15.0.3 install and j9vm24.a

Hi ,

I am using the ebf16742 to install ase15.0.3. I do it via xwindow. I selected custom install and custom configuration for all components. When it comes to install the job-scheduler the install fails. This is what i found in the $SYBASE/$SYBASE_ASE/init/logs/srvbuild1207.005 log:

<nyassz>

I am looking the ebf and I see no sign of this libj9vm24.a anywhere. Is it a well known bug ? If it is, what is the workaround ? For now I just will not install the job scheduler, but that is not good for the longer run. I did a preload of the libj9vm24.so, with the LD_PRELOAD env variable but looks like that is not enough.

Here is the result of a root search on the machine for "*j9vm24*"

{[root]palm:/:586}# find / -name "*j9vm24*" -print
/bkup/ebf16742/JVM/lib/ppc/libj9vm24.so
/bkup/ebf16742/SySAM/JVM/lib/ppc/libj9vm24.so
/prod/ase15/system15/_jvm/lib/ppc/libj9vm24.so
/prod/ase15/system15/shared/JRE-6_0_SR1_64BIT/lib/ppc64/compressedrefs/libj9vm24.so
/prod/ase15/system15/shared/JRE-6_0_SR1_64BIT/lib/ppc64/default/libj9vm24.so

There is no sign of libj9vm24.a anywhere. I tried with different JREs, but the install ignores them and goes strait for the JVM on the ebf.

Thanks ahead,

János
