Cannot connect to Sybase from Rapid sql 7.3.2

Hello everyone,
This is my first post in this forums. I am trying to connect to a Sybase server from Rapid Sql 7.3.2. But I end up getting the following error:

Layer (6), Origin (8), Severity (5), Number (3) ct_connect(): directory service layer: internal directory control layer error: Requested server name not found.

I pinged this server using ping command and I can see my machine is connected to this server. Is there something i am missing. Please suggest.

When connecting from RapidSQL, you have to give server name and port (which is optional). Check them again.
I suppose that you ping from command prompt. This checks that your server machine is online, but it does not give you any information about Sybase.
Register your server with DSEdit and ping from there.
