where we use truncate_only and no_log and why?

Hi

I have been installed Sybase ASE 15.5 server but when i build the server i am getting error, please assist with below error.


[sybase@localhost sample_resource_files]$ srvbuildres -r ASE3.rs
Building Adaptive Server 'HEADBOARD':
Writing entry into directory services...
Directory services entry complete.
Building master device...
Task failed
/home/sybase/ASE_15/ASE-15_0/bin/dataserver: error while loading shared libraries: libaio.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
Server 'HEADBOARD' was not created.

Which database software are you asking about?

truncate_only and no_log are deprecated features of Microsoft SQL Server. They were commonly used by experts doing recovery operations until the release of SQL 2005, but haven't been supported for quite some time.

hi Team,

If logsegment is full during dump and load database in sybase, then what kind of action should be perform in production suppot.
