Question AS/400 Files to Sybase on Solaris replication

Hi

I have a requirment to replicate data from an AS/400 system (Journaled flat files) to a Sybase server on UNIX. I've been suggested using IBM Datapropagator & DataJoiner combination to do this replication ( which has to be real-time replication).

In the absence of a Sybase replication server which runs on OS/400, is this the best way for this replication?

Is there any better way for replicating AS/400 files to Sybase? I'd appreciate if you could suggest means to have AS/400 files replicated to a DB2 system on UNIX. (I can further replicate DB2 to Sybase using sybase rep servers, as long as they both reside on a unix server).

Thanks in advance for your comments.

Appaji

Hiya appaji,

I don't think there is an Rep Agent from Sybase available for AS/400.

You might want to try this query in Sybase Rep Server Newsgroup, if there is any better solution.

Cheers
Willy
