I want to know what kind of tools the community is using for Sybase database administration and performance diagnostics.

We are currently looking at options and would like to get feedback from the gurus.

I think sysmon is very powerful and has lowest overload

take continues samples of sp_sysmon

and then you can parse your outputs to see performance
you can also collect output for a week or month and see the trend

you can also use monitor server but it will use lot of resources

or you can use some third party tools...

sysmon is what I use and suggest to use to my clients...
