Question cross tab parameter

Hi,

I been trying to put a parameter for my cross tab querie and it keep coming up with the same error message. Example, Fields are: Result(column heading) Date(row heading), Result(Count)

Now, I want to create a parameter that ask the user to input the month I want to get the count for. I did this is the regular querie but can't find a way to do it in cross tab using parameter. I don't wanna use criteria because user are not going to have access to the design part of the cross tab querie. Is there a way to create a parameter for a cross tab like you would for a regular querie? Any help is appreciated. Thanks

Wink Desperate

I am desperate to find the answer to your question. I was trying to implement a date range into my crosstab query.

Do you get that message about MS Jet engine not recognising etc....??

Hey, I've found how to do it.

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;q209778

this link explains all.

Just to simplify though: enter your parameter example [enter branch] in the criteria section of your crosstab query and then go to the menu bar, Query - Parameter and enter [enter branch] with the data type.

That should sort it.
