switching delimeters

Hi

Is there any command to switch between delimeters in a file
like from comma to tab
fixedwidth to comma vice versa etc

in what tool? shell? awk? something else?

In shell look into 'IFS'
In awk look into 'FS'

if the File is created from a program or awk, look at OFS or for an environ variable in the userprofile like DBDELIMITER, etc.
