Red face Shell script hangs

Hello !
ENVIRONMENT:
AIX 5.1.0.0

I have a shell script that runs in my crontab ( TSM-related ) that is scheduled to run at 0300 daily. Well, the script starts but it hangs and never completely. We have to manually kill it.

My queries are:
1) Has anyone experienced this before, and can lend some assistance to a possible solution ?
2) Is there anyway to trace the script and find out WHERE it may be experiencing the hang-up ?

Your time is appreciated

1) YES, and NO, not without looking at the script.

2) YES.
