mail problem

I have a html file, and I want to send this html file in a mail. I want the contents of the file to be displayed in the mail(like coloured lines and formatted outputs all according to html tags in the file). the problem is that I am not able to send it as a visible file all that goes is the html tags.

please help me...thanks in advance
