New User in Unix Shell Scriipts!!!

Hi everybody:

I am a Oracle Developer and I want to work in Unix Shell scripting please give me the idea how can I practically work in oracle environment and how can I get the Unix Software and solid Unix User Guides(Documentation).

If anyone help I appreciate.

Shouldn't you move this question to the Oracle forum? Looks more specific to me...
But about the software and guides: What UNIX distribution do you intend/need to use?
