using soapui tool on AIX 5.3

Hi,

We are using the tool - soaupui ,which is used to send soap requests on AIX 5.3. But for some reason, this tool seems to be too slow on this box and it takes us almost 10 to 15 minutes to edit a soap request. Any ideas what could be the problem?

Thanks,

Hi,

Ole from the soapUI team here.. maybe I can help.. Which soapUI version and JRE are you using? How large is the message you are trying to edit? Exactly what seems to take longer in soapUI.. everything or some specific action?

best regards,

/Ole

THanks Ole.

We are using JRE 1.5 and soaup ui version 1.7.1.
We usually do not get control on the request editor for a long time.We have to click on the request editor and wait for 5 minutes , till we get control. Once we get the control and edit the request, it does not take that much time to get the response from the servers. Its just getting control on the request editor. And some days, we actually end up killing the process because we don't get the control for a really long time.

Your help would be much appreciated !!!...

Thanks

Hi,

hmm.. would it be possible for you to try jdk 1.6? Does the same project-file file/request work ok on windows?

regards!

Hi..

hmm.. I have no idea.. it sounds like some swing-related issue.. are you running the latest jdk 1.5 for aix? Maybe you could try switching to the native look and feel in the ui-settings tab? (File/Preferences)?

regards,

/Ole

Hi,

Ok... just realised that there are a whole lot of heapdump* and javacore* files in the 'bin' folder of soapui... and they are huge in size... any harm in deleting those ?

Thanks,
Deepti.
