AIX Logical Volume without Type

Hi all,

some of our logical volumes have lost there type... When we created it, everything was fine, but now the result of "lsvg" dbvg is:
:
lv0dbdbs_999_3 ifx_chunk 16 16 1 open/syncd N/A
lv1dbdbs_999_3 ifx_chunk 16 16 1 open/syncd N/A
lv0dbdbs_110_4 ??? 16 16 1 open/syncd N/A
lv1dbdbs_110_4 ??? 16 16 1 open/syncd N/A

how can I "repair" it?
does anybody know, if "chlv -t ifx_chunk lv..." works???

thanks for help
sge

Forget chlv..., I think the right way is

synclvodm db_vg

When can I run it? Do I have to stop the database, which is running on it?
Or can I start it while working?
Does anybody have experience with it?
