Hi there


I have the gcc binary downloaded from the web when i install the .exe
it creates 2 files with .bff and .bff.asc

I tried using installp from smitty but then it fails the pre verification test and it looks for the basic file sets.

Where can i get these basic file sets.

I remember installp and smitty somewhere in AIX documentation. Don't remember though.

anyways, I found ".exe" mentioned in your post, and if there is a need for gcc on win32 (couldn't get it from your post), get mingw
