starting a shell script at boot time

I am trying to call a shell script at boot time.What is the procedure to achieve that task???

what operating system are you using? different flavors of *nix have different start-up files and locations.

I am using Redhat linux 8. I want to start tomcat at the boot time using shell script. How to achieve this??
