okay try to stick with me..i will explain this as best i can...

i am collecting information through a series of perl forms and once all of the information is collected i am running a program on the server...that program produces the file trail.txt
once that file is created i would like to download it automatically (so taht the user doesn't have to do it since they won't necessarily have an FTP or SSH connection) to their local machine so that i can be used to run a program on their machine.

so my question is....how do i automatically download a file from the server to the local machine???

any help will be greatly appreciated !
