using SCP!!

I need to copy files from backup in the production box into the backup in QA box.

I guess "scp" will solve my problem.Could someone help me out in providing me the script that will help copying files everyday from PROD to QA area, as i am newbie in unix.all the files will have date info appended to it.so date as the parameter to be supplied, I want those days files to be copied.
